Napoli midfielder Allan’s ‘most likely destination’ is Everton this summer, should he leave the Italian club as anticipated.

The Brazilian midfielder has been widely linked with a move away from the Serie A side this summer having seen his relationship deteriorate following a failed move to PSG last year.

He has found himself increasingly out of manager Gennaro Gattuso’s plans, while the club have also added extra competition into their midfield.

He was linked with a move away throughout the January transfer window and Everton were named among his suitors, with it claimed Carlo Ancelotti, who worked with him at Napoli, sees him as an ideal signing to improve his midfield.

A move never happened, but Everton have continued to be linked this summer with a big summer transfer window predicted at Goodison Park.

As yet a move hasn’t happened, largely because the two clubs are currently very far apart in their valuation of the player.

That has looked like putting the buffers on a potential deal, but according to journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in Tuttomercatoweb, relayed by Arena Napoli,  Everton are his ‘most likely’ destination should he leave.

He confirms the player was ‘very close’ to PSG a year and a half ago, but that is now no longer his likeliest most as Everton have moved to the top of the list.

The journalist makes no mention of asking price, or if there have even been negotiations between the two clubs but does say that Napoli are keen on Roma’s Jordan Veretout, indicating they have planned to replace him.

That would indicate they feel a deal is possible at some point, and if it is to happen, Everton will be among those bidding.
