On Thursday morning, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Bournemouth placed an interesting bid for Nicolo Zaniolo.

Even though Roma and AC Milan had been in intense talks for the midfielder’s move, it was claimed the Cherries suddenly came up with an official offer to lead that race.

Di Marzio said Bournemouth put on the table an initial amount of €30m, plus bonuses and the percentage of a future sale.

It turns out that in a new update, the journalist now claims that Milan have left the battle for that signing.

On his website, it’s reported that the Rossoneri told Roma they will not raise their bid or match Bournemouth’s offer for Zaniolo, having pulled out of the race.

The Cherries’ offer is now the only one on the table, and the Premier League club will now spend the next 48 hours trying to convince the midfielder.

It sounds pretty much like Roma are content over selling him to Bournemouth for that amount, as they matched their requests, and ‘the ball will pass’ to the player, who’ll make the final decision on this transfer.
