With 10 England caps to his name, Ruben Loftus-Cheek should probably be a regular starter somewhere, and yet he finds himself one of the rotation options at Chelsea.

There’s no denying the 26-year-old has been used a fair bit by Thomas Tuchel, but a lot of those appearances have been from the bench, with only 13 Premier League stars to his name last season.

That’s why the idea of a move to Lazio, one touted for quite some time, made sense, since he would be a starter under Maurizio Sarri, but now Inter are apparently keeping an eye on the situation.

This is what Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting on Monday, with it claimed the England international has been ‘offered by Chelsea’ to Simone Inzaghi’s side.

The idea here would be for a move to be made should someone like Roberto Gagliardini be sold, and an extra player be needed in Inter’s midfield.

If that were to happen, then the Chelsea man has ‘all the requisites’, but there would then be the issue of dealing with the Blues and them ‘opening’ to the idea of a loan.

Gazzetta are quite frank when they say ‘it would be less complex than the one on Lukaku’, meaning signing Loftus-Cheek wouldn’t take as much effort.

For now, however, it’s just an idea, but one we will be keeping an eye on, especially if Gagliardini finds himself a new club.
