Former Leeds United forward Andy Ritchie has again spoken highly of Marcus Antonsson following the striker’s move to Elland Road this summer.

In his column for the YEP, Ritchie discussed Leeds United’s options in attack now the transfer window has closed. Ritchie said based upon what he’s seen of Antonsson so far this season he thinks the striker is lively.

Ritchie still believes the former Kalmar star will take time to adjust to English football, but already he can see a bit of a spark in the player’s game.

“Marcus Antonsson looks quite lively. He looks as though he has got a bit of a buzz about him and he will take time to get into the Championship coming from where he has come from,” said Ritchie on Leeds United’s summer signing.

Marcus Antonsson joined Leeds United in June from Allsvenskan side Kalmar. The Swede signed a three-year deal with Leeds United for a fee in the region of £2m.
