Unwilling to renew his contract at Tottenham, this could very well be Mousa Dembélé’s last season in London.

With just one year left on his current deal, this summer could be the last time for Spurs to get some money for the Belgium international, with at least one club keen on taking him away from Wembley.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter’s director of football, Piero Ausilio, is expected to travel to the England capital in the coming days with one objective in mind: the Tottenham midfielder.

The 30-year-old is said to be the club’s number one target for the centre of the pitch, as they hope to field him alongside Marcelo Brozovic next season.

The Italian newspaper believe Tottenham’s valuation of Dembélé is around €30m, but they feel that could be negotiated, mostly down to the player’s desire to try something new, aware that the Premier League chapter of his career is coming to a close.

Hoping to sign one last big contract while he can, Inter would be an ideal move, as he’d still be playing in the Champions League and would be getting a new experience in Serie A.

Corriere report contacts between Inter and Dembélé’s entourage are ‘advanced’, and Ausilio is ready to have a chat with Tottenham to see if they’d be open to discuss a potential transfer.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see what comes of this alleged meeting before anything else happens.
