It seems the Moises Caicedo saga is finally coming to an end, and it’s not only journalists who are claiming it.

This time it’s Independiente Del Valle general manager Santiago Morales who confirms there’s an agreement with a Premier League club for the midfielder’s move.

Even though Brighton & Hove Albion, rather than Manchester United, seem to be the strongest name in the race these days, the official didn’t want to reveal the club which is taking Caicedo to England.

“Everything is closed with a Premier League club for Moisés Caicedo, today he’s getting his work visa and between Wednesday-Thursday we announce it,” Morales told La Red.

Moises Caicedo has been linked to several clubs in the past month, especially from the Premier League. It all started with the many Manchester United stories, including claims of a deal being close, which were followed by claims about Everton, Brighton, Chelsea and Newcastle United.

With the midfielder recently following the Seagulls on Instagram, those rumours got stronger, joined by Fussball Transfers claiming at the weekend that an agreement in principle had been reached.

As previously analysed by Sport Witness, Caicedo should have no problems to get a work permit due to his appearances in international and continental games, so it seems like a matter of time until he’s cleared to complete his move to the Premier League.
