Brighton & Hove Albion have won the race to sign Moisés Caicedo, according to reports.

The Independiente del Valle starlet has been on the radar of several European clubs, with Manchester United heavily linked with the player.

Over the past few days, reports suggested Chelsea, West Ham United and Everton are intersted in the midfielder.

It now looks like the Seagulls have won the transfer battle to acquire the 19-year-old’s services, if a report from Fussball Transfers is to be believed.

FT state the Ecuador international is ‘about to move to the Premier League’ after Brighton reached an agreement in principle with Independiente del Valle for the player.

The teenager reportedly attracted interest from clubs like United, RB Leipzig, AC Milan and others. However, the website states Brighton will seal the deal for the young midfielder.

Tracking his movements on social media, Caicedo has recently started following Brighton on his official Instagram page.

Should Brighton get the deal over the line soon, it will bring an end to the transfer saga around Caicedo’s future.
