On Tuesday morning, we had a long round-up story showing everything the Italian newspapers have been saying about Kalidou Koulibaly.

With Manchester City following the Napoli defender, most outlets were talking about how hard it’s been to take him from the Serie A side, who are making strong efforts to hold him until their asking price is met.

Now an interesting update comes from website CalcioMercato, who claim there’ll soon be a decisive meeting for the 29-year-old’s transfer.

It’s reported that between Saturday and the start of next week, representative Fali Ramadani will meet Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss the possibility for this move.

Ramadani is said to be the only intermediary working on Manchester City’s behalf, and will show De Laurentiis an offer of €70m, including bonuses, from the Premier League club. Pep Guardiola’s side don’t want to go over that, so it’s getting to a take-it-or-leave-it stage.

CalcioMercato don’t seem to know what Napoli’s reaction will be, but they make it clear that these should be ‘decisive days’ for this saga.
