Manchester United are set to finalise the sale of youngster Matěj Kovář to Bayern Leverkusen, but will hold a right to buy him back in future.

That’s according to inFotbal.cz, who report that the goalkeeper flew out for a medical with the German side today ahead of a €6m transfer.

They state ‘it is decided’ and a deal between Manchester United and Leverkusen has been ‘definitively agreed’, with the German side set to pay €6m for the United youngster.

The agreement includes a number of variable bonuses which could see the deal rise to €10m while Manchester United have also fought to includes a buy-back clause in the form of a right to first refusal on the player in future.

That agreement is now total and Kovář flew out from Manchester on Thursday afternoon to undergo his medical and then sign a long-term contract with the Bundesliga side.

The transfer is expected to be officially announced in the next few hours, putting an end to the 23-year-old’s time at Manchester United, which started in 2018 when he was brought in from Slovacko’s U19s
