Brazilian winger David Neres has been interviewed by Lance this weekend.

The Ajax star, who’s been much praised this season, has recently made his debut for the national team, and now fights for a place in the Copa America squad.

“It was a very big emotion”, David Neres told Lance. “Being part of those two games, being in concentration with big players was very important to me. I think I left a flea behind Tite’s ear and hope to be in the Copa América”.

With 11 goals and 14 assists this season, Neres now must help Ajax in their Champions League clashes against Juventus for the tournament’s quarter finals.

Neres has also been asked about his future. Linked to Everton and Milan, with those two teams again mentioned, the player has tried to avoid feeding the rumours much: “My focus is totally connected to Ajax, my agents take care of this part of proposals and approaches. I do not get caught up thinking about it now because I know I have to be with the head in the competitions that we are disputing and that my role has to be here in Ajax and then to think about other flights.:

Last week, Brazilian outlet UOL said Everton are in talks to sign the player. Currently in touch with his staff, the club left his agents in expectation for a summer bid.

UOL claimed that Ajax are planning to make over €45m with the sale, and should have no problems in letting the player go, as long as the buying club match their demands.
