Having sold Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, Crystal Palace are in need of a starting right-back, and France Football believe one of the names on their list is Monaco’s Djibril Sidibé.

The defender didn’t perform all that well last year, and while he isn’t up for sale, the magazine believe the principality side wouldn’t be against a departure if they can sort it out.

France Football confirm the previous report from L’Equipe that West Ham are interested, but Crystal Palace have joined the fray, and ‘shouldn’t take too long before launching the offensive to attract Sidibé in their net’.

Basically, they aren’t far off making a move for the player, whose attacking mentality is of great interest at Selhurst Park.

However, they aren’t yet sure of Sidibé’s desire in all this, as they explain we’ll have to wait and see if he can be attracted to a move to London, especially if he thinks moving to Crystal Palace could hinder his chances of being picked for the France national team.

Valencia are also reportedly monitoring his situation, but whoever signs him could be taking a gamble, as they could either be signing the disappointing player from last year or end up with a full-back who played a key role in Monaco’s Ligue 1 title a couple of years ago.
