According to Trabzon based regional website 61 Saat, Trabzonspor are close to signing Alexander Sorloth from Crystal Palace.

The Turkish club are in the market for a striker after parting ways with Hugo Rodallega and they were recently linked with a move for former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

It’s reported the Norwegian striker is currently in Turkey to finalise his move to the Super Lig club and they are expected to announce his arrival shortly.

The attacker joined Crystal Palace from Midtyjland for €9m in 2018, but the 23 year old has failed to prove himself in the Premier League. This led to a loan move to Belgian side Gent for the second half of last season.

Sorloth played 22 for the Jupiler league side and managed to score 5 goals. However, it seems he’s not in the plans of Roy Hodgson, despite Crystal Palace being in the market for a striker.

His father Goran Sörloth played for Turkish club Bursaspor during 1994/95 season so the youngster will now have the chance to replicate this.

61 Saat haven’t given any indication whether this will be a loan deal or a permanent transfer for the Crystal Palace player.
