This week Galatasaray confirmed the signing of Christian Luyindama after they paid €5m to Standard Liege.

The Turkish club loaned the DR Congo defender during the second half of last season for €3.5m, and in total they’ve paid €8.5m to the Belgian side to secure the player.

However, despite recently joining Galatasaray, the 25 year old could quickly leave the Super Lig, following claims from Turkish newspaper Star report Aston Villa are ready to table a bid for the central defender.

It’s reported the newly promoted Premier League side were waiting for Cim Bom to make Luyindama’s move permanent because they couldn’t make an offer to Standard Liege.

Now that the Turkish champions have confirmed Luyindama’s arrival, it’s reported Aston Villa will soon offer €12m for the player.

This summer Aston Villa have already recruited from the Turkish Super Lig, signing Trezequet from Kasimpasa.

According to Star, Galatasaray haven’t given an indication whether they will accept an offer this summer for Luyindama, but they could be set to make a decent profit if he’s sold to the English club.
