Premier League side Crystal Palace were one of the clubs who sent representatives to watch the Europa League clash between Porto and Rangers last night, according to Record.

The London club saw a 1-1 draw, with Luís Diaz opening the score for the home side, and Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos finding the equaliser for Steven Gerrard’s side.

Crystal Palace aren’t a frequent visitor in Portugal, and their visit is likely to fuel the recent claims of interest in Morelos.

For Porto, goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin had a great performance which may have caught some attention, just like defender Pepe and striker Luis Diaz.

When Palace scouted Porto a couple of months ago, the Argentine goalie also had a good display, so perhaps that’s something to keep an eye on for the future if the official’s trip wasn’t Morelos related.

The other clubs who had scouts at this match were Saint Étienne, Rennes, Monaco, Nice, Bordeaux, Manchester United, Tottenham, Everton, Atalanta, SPAL, Celta Vigo, Betis, Eintracht Frankfurt and Schalke 04.
