It appears that Inter Milan, in an attempt to sign Folarin Balogun, have made their first approach to Arsenal with an offer in mind.

This comes courtesy of Sport Mediaset, relayed by FC Inter News, who state that the Serie A side continue to target the USA international as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

In fact, they are putting forward the ‘same numbers’ they tried to convince Chelsea with when they were still trying to get the Belgium international.

That’s €35m up front with €5m in bonuses, but that amount has been deemed ‘too low’ by the Gunners, who are hoping for more when it comes to the young forward.

It’s worth remembering that Balogun had a great season away from Arsenal on loan at Stade de Reims during the last campaign, which appears to have placed dollar signs in front of Edu Gaspar’s eyes.

The striker has made it clear he doesn’t want another loan, and therefore is looking to either carve a space for himself at the Emirates or head to another club where he can play regularly.

Whether that is Inter remains to be seen, but they will have to improve their bid if they want to stand a chance of getting the Arsenal forward.
