In the past week, Newcastle United’s interest in Adrien Rabiot has become a frequent story in the Italian media.

When managing to hold the player this summer, Juventus could only convince the midfielder of signing a one-year deal, and so could now be heading for a new drama at the end of the season.

That’s what Calcio Mercato writes about today, as they feature a piece explaining what the Old Lady need to convince the midfielder of staying.

The outlet points out that Newcastle are one of the clubs who’ve been reported as potential threats to take Rabiot out of Turin, and that’s one of the reasons why Juventus already need to start working on a potential renewal.

The qualification to the Champions League is considered a ‘fundamental step’ to ensure the player maintains his desire to stay. The Bianconeri are said to be in a ‘rebirth project’ which will be vital to convince the midfielder that his future lies there.

Newcastle are already in Europe’s top competition, though, and in case Juventus fail to achieve their goals this season, maybe the Magpies have enough arguments to attract the Frenchman.
