Galatasaray won’t give up on signing Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz, but can’t reach an agreement with Philippe Clement’s side.

Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the current status on Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Rangers player.

He claims the 22-year-old is still the priority target for the Turkish club, who are trying to deal with Philippe Clement’s side.

According to Sabuncuoğlu, the last official contact between Rangers and Galatasaray took place on Wednesday. At the same time, he says the talks continue, without specifying the details of the parties.

If Philippe Clement’s side won’t sanction a move for the left-back, the journalist claims the Istanbul club will look at other options in the market.

Earlier today, we covered claims from Turkey that Galatasaray are expected to make a new offer after their initial proposal was rejected by Rangers.

Sabah then stated the Galatasaray officials are working overtime to convince Rangers to part ways with the Turkey international. The Ibrox club have officially informed them that a fee of €4.5m is needed to let Yılmaz leave.
