The Italian media today shares some interesting updates on the Serie A chase for West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer.

Sky Sport, relayed by Numero Diez and Milan News, feature a report claiming the AC Milan are about to see some competition for the signing.

It’s said that besides the Rossoneri, the likes of Atalanta and AS Roma are also interested in the West Ham player.

The story claims that the Bergamo side already got in touch with the Hammers to get more information on the defender and the possibility of a January transfer.

It’s pointed out that since Kehrer isn’t getting much playing time at West Ham, he could ‘opt for a change of shirt’ in January.

Atalanta, however, would only like to sign the centre-back on a loan deal. It’s at the end of the season that they’d evaluate the possibility of a permanent transfer.

Regardless of how that goes, West Ham can only be happy that more clubs are joining the race, as that should bring the defender’s price up. They shall soon gather the offers on the table and see what’s best.
