Midfielder Joao Palhinha and Bayern Munich are ‘waiting in Munich’ for the ‘green light’ from Fulham to finalise his move to the Allianz Arena.

That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says the deal is not done yet and there is less than an hour before the window closes in Germany.

Palhinha has been a late target for Bayern Munich as they look to add a number six to their squad, something manager Thomas Tuchel has been calling for all summer.

They eventually settled on Palhinha, and a move has progressed rapidly over the last two days or so, with Palhinha currently in Germany finalising it.

Plettenberg reports that everyone on his and Bayern’s side is now done, including his medical it would seem, and both he and the German champions are now ‘waiting in Munich’ for Fulham.

They need to give the ‘green light’ for the transfer to take place and are yet to do so, meaning the deal is not done yet.

That’s causing concern and presumably worry at Bayern as, unlike in England, they have less than an hour before the transfer window closes and needs thing wrapped up sooner rather than later. That, though, now rests on Fulham.
