Dutch champions Feyenoord appear to have lodged a bid for Tottenham flop Bryan Gil, turning their interest in him into something more serious.

That’s at least if 1908’s information is anything to go by, with them stating that ‘the next attempt is a fact’ in regard to the player.

The same outlet reported last week that Feyenoord were once again showing interest in singing Gil from Tottenham after making an attempt for him in the January transfer window.

That report made it clear that there were concrete lines of discussion open between the two sides over the Spaniard, who has already made it clear to Tottenham that he wants to leave permanently in the summer and not on loan again if he is not part of their plans.

That report also made it clear that it was not yet evident what sort of deal Feyenoord were looking at, just that they were keen, and talks had been opened.

1908 now follow that up and say, ‘the next attempt is a fact’. In other words, a formal bid has been lodged and talks are very much underway with Tottenham.

They again fail to mention what type of deal Feyenoord are chasing or what the two sides have talked about so far, just that they are talking about Gil.

Whether he accepts a move in whatever form to the Netherlands remains to be seen but it seems Feyenoord are very much working to get a summer target.
