Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz has been repeatedly linked with a move to Galatasaray and they have been trying to persuade Philippe Clement’s side to let him leave Ibrox.

The Istanbul club haven’t agreed a deal yet, forcing them to look at other options. The 22-year-old is back on their agenda, as per Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to explain that the Turkish club have ‘returned’ for the Rangers player.

Galatasaray have shifted their focus back on the Ibrox fullback after they failed to agree a deal with Fatih Karagümrük for Levent Mercan.

A report from DHA earlier today stated the deal for the 22-year-old is at a standstill after the Süper Lig side refused to meet the demands of both Philippe Clement’s side and the Rangers man.

Another Turkish journalist, Burhan Can Terzi, claims he spoke to the player’s agent about his potential exit from Rangers on Thursday night.

Terzi says Yılmaz’s agent told him yesterday: “There is no new development. It does not seem that there will be any new developments.”

Taking this into account, Galatasaray returning for the Rangers fullback might even be a surprise for his agent at this point.
