Torino won’t be waiting long for Manchester City’s goodwill to loan Joe Hart out once again.
With the goalkeeper’s spell at the Italian side expiring, they want to have a quick response to know if they should go after another player for the position or not.
That’s why when speaking to the Italian media on Thursday, Torino president Urbano Cairo has made sure to warn Manchester City they need to make a decision soon.
“With the player the situation is very positive, then it is about seeing what City want to do,” he said (via Calcio Mercato)
“Obviously we will not be able to wait as we did this year until the last minute. This year Hart’s idea came in the last week, but surely we have to prepare ourselves for having it defined much earlier.
“It is about whether City are available or not, if it’s not in the short term then we should think of alternatives.”
The word in Italy is that Torino have no money to pay for Hart’s permanent transfer or even for his full wages. So they would try to get a new loan with a small fee and this time a bigger percentage of his salary.
As Hart doesn’t want to join mid-table clubs, Manchester City now have a hard task to keep him loaned out or sell him to title race rivals, as it seems Pep Guardiola doesn’t have the goalkeeper in his plans.
