A second source now confirms Corinthians’ interest in the Chelsea winger Lucas Piazon.

After Goal, it’s now Fox Sports who says that the Brazilian side will be trying to bring the player back to his home country soon.

The TV Channel claims that Corinthians president Andres Sanchez is having a ‘European tour’ looking for signings and sponsorships. And one of the targets they have is Piazon.

Reporter André Cavalcante, however, made it clear that Piazon has some ‘market’ in European football, which could make things harder for Corinthians to get him in terms of finances and potentially the player’s ambition.

Piazon has signed for Chelsea from São Paulo in 2012 in a €7.5m deal.

However, in over six years at the club, he’s only made two appearances. The big reason for it is the big number of loans, as he’s had spells at Malaga, Vitesse, Eintracht Frankfurt, Reading and Fulham.

With his contract expiring next summer, it’s unlikely the Blues can get a decent fee for his departure.
