Napoli are in the market looking for a new centre-back after having sold Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich and have identified Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Max Kilman as one of the targets.

Area Napoli state Napoli manager Rudi Garcia has set his sights on RC Lens’ Kevin Danso while the club’s sporting director Mauro Meluso is in contact with VfB Stuttgart’s Konstantinos Mavropanos.

At the same time, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis would ‘not stop thinking’ about the Wolves defender, especially after CONI announced the British players will no longer be considered as non-EU players.

It’s claimed Julen Loptegui’s side have requested €40m for Kilman, which is deemed high by the Serie A winners. This has convinced the Naples club to find another formula to sign the 26-year-old.

Area Napoli state the Italian champions could include Hirving Lozano as part of the deal to lower the price for Kilman.

The report adds the Wolves manager has appreciated the Mexico international in the past. The winger has a year left on his contract and his current wages won’t make the negotiations easy.

The website makes no mention if the Premier League side and/or Lozano are open to this formula, but it is known that the Mexican has a penchant for the Premier League.
