Turkish newspaper Sozcu report Galatasaray remain keen on signing Aston Villa defender Marvelous Nakamba as they still want to sign a central midfielder before the transfer window closes.
The Zimbabwean has been linked with a move to Turkey since the beginning of the transfer window, and today Sozcu claim Gala manager Fatih Terim is looking to strengthen his squad with the Villa man.
Terim will reportedly wait for the Rangers game on Thursday, and if Galatasaray manage to eliminate Steven Gerrard’s side from the Europa League, then they will then make their move for the midfielder. If they make it to the group stages of the Europa League, they will table a loan offer with Aston Villa.
Nakamba has played just three minutes of Premier League football this season, and he could leave to get regular games elsewhere.
He joined Aston Villa from Club Brugge for €12m at the start of last season, and his contract at Villa Park will expire at the end of June 2024.
