Turkish newspaper Yeni Asır claim Fenerbahce are interested in Middlesbrough attacker Adama Traore.
The Middlesbrough star was linked with a move away from Middlesbrough after relegation to the Championship, but a possible move to France was blocked by the club.
Yeni Asır say Fenerbahçe officials are interested in signing Traore on a loan deal, as their search for a winger continues. The Turkish side want to add some pace to the team, and they believe Traore could give them this.
Fenerbahce have also been linked with Swansea City’s Luciano Narsingh in recent weeks, and the Dutchman is said to be keen on a move to Turkey.
However, it’s unlikely Middlesbrough would be interested in letting one of their key players leave in the next window, with Garry Monk’s side in the mix to get promotion back to the Premier League.
Traore has played 11 games for Middlesbrough this season, and Monk will likely want him at least until the end of the campaign. A loan deal doesn’t really sound too attractive for Middlesbrough.
The 21-year old joined Middlesbrough from Aston Villa, and he’s contracted to the Championship side club until June 2020.
