On June 5th, the Daily Record reported Porto could enter into a bidding war with Marseille for Olivier Ntcham of Celtic.

It was also explained the Portuguese club will use the promise of Champions League football to tempt him to join them over the Ligue 1 side.

France Football once again relay claims made by the Daily Record and state that André Villas-Boas’ side are ‘interested’ in the Hoops star. They are also aware of Porto’s desire in landing the 23-year-old.

It is further explained that Marseille ‘know the player very well’, but have so far not advanced their moves to sign him in the summer transfer window.

For them to make an approach, they will have to offload a few of their first team players like Florian Thauvin and Kevin Strootman.

Ntcham still has three more years left on his contract with the Scottish domestic treble winners and France Football report explains Celtic ‘would expect’ a fee between €15m and €17m for the player.
