On January 6th, Sportitalia reported AC Monza are preparing an offer to sign Celtic’s Josip Juranović in the winter market.

It was also explained the Serie A side had a meeting with Ange Postecoglou’s side to try to define the operation for the right-back’s transfer.

Alfredo Pedullà now explains the Croatia international is the priority target for Monza and their CEO, Adriano Galliani, in January. He is valued around €6-7m and Monza are ‘looking for the right formula’ to close the deal with Celtic.

It’s further claimed there were two meetings in the last 24 hours after the one that took place between Celtic and Monza on Thursday. There are no details about the parties that attended the two meetings yesterday.

Over at Gianluca Di Marzio, they also state the 27-year-old is the number one target for the Italian club.

Monza had a meeting with Juranović’s entourage in Milan on Friday and it was done with the ‘aim of studying the strategy’ to seal the deal.

The Serie A club ‘intend to get serious’ for the Celtic fullback and are considering making a loan offer that will include an obligation to buy.
