Manchester United are interested in AS Monaco defender Alex Disasi, according to claims on Friday.

Outlet Tutto Mercato Web writes that the Red Devils are ‘moving on him’, as they see big potential in the 24-year-old.

It’s pointed out that to sign Disasi from Monaco, Manchester United would need to spend at least €26m. That’s twice the price the Ligue 1 side paid to sign him from Reims in 2020.

The way Monaco have been managing to make profit with big deals is exactly the focus of TMW’s story, as they start by speaking of Benoit Badiashile’s recent €40m move to Chelsea.

The French club are now said to be waiting for Manchester United’s next moves, as they’re ‘rubbing their hands’ expecting to make another big sale.

With Raphael Varane often facing fitness problems, Erik ten Hag has been selecting mixed defensive duos with Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, sometimes even Luke Shaw.

On Friday, it had also been reported that Manchester United are set to have a meeting with the agents of Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar, so that may be another sign that they’re looking for a player for that position.
