Bayern Munich are hoping to pay less than €70m for Manchester City’s Leroy Sané this summer, but City are looking for a price far above that.

Sané was close to leaving the Etihad last summer, having been heavily linked with a move to the Allianz for much of the transfer window.

At one stage it appeared a deal was close to being done before the German suffered a ligament tear in the Community Shield win over Liverpool.

That ended any hopes of a move, but the German giants have remained keen, with it widely expected they will return to try and get a deal done with Manchester City this summer.

Reports in England suggested that they are looking at spending £70m on the forward but, according to Bild, this information is incorrect.

According to their information, Bayern ‘hope’ to pay less than €70m for Sané but Manchester City have other ideas.

First and foremost they are not ‘committed’ to selling just yet as they are waiting to see the season continues with games behind closed doors in May first.

Secondly, they ‘assume’ that should they sanction a transfer it would be in the region of €85m, considerably more than Bayern are looking to pay for him.
