Watford’s loan army regularly play a part in transfer reports around the world sport media, and the latest man in question is Luis Javier Suarez Charris.

The Premier League club signed the player in July 2017, from Leones in Colombia, and immediately sent him on loan to third division Spanish football with Real Valladolid B.

Last summer, the 21 year old moved to Gimnastic, again on loan, and he made 36 appearances in La Liga 2. Playing as a striker, he found the back of the net six times as well as adding two assists.

Now he’s of interest to Sporting Gijon, report El Desmarque. They’ve taken the claims from Onda Cero Asturias, a radio station, and there’s further interest in Suarez.

Almeria and Mallaga are also keen, but Sporting would hope to convince the Watford owned player with their sporting project, with the suggestion being he’d get more playing time.

Sporting would want a loan deal with the Hornets, and would be thinking about an approach.
