Real Sociedad apparently have some concerns regarding signing of Donny Van de Beek from Manchester United.

A report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo today says the La Liga side ‘continue to negotiate’ for the move, but there’s some uncertainty about the player’s physical condition.

Van de Beek suffered a knee injury in Manchester United’s match against Bournemouth in January, and even though he seems to have recovered well, Real Sociedad aren’t sure about the investment.

It’s said there aren’t ‘enough guarantees’ for the La Liga side until they can conduct a bigger analysis of his situation.

There’s also the fact that Van de Beek’s salary is considered to be too high. Real Sociedad’s plan was to get him on loan with an option to buy, but his wages, added to the potential purchase, make the transfer quite expensive for them.

That’s why the Spanish side are now close to giving up on the chase, according to Mundo Deportivo. It seems Manchester United would need to give them some guarantees for the pursuit to go on.
