As things stand, it’s very clear that Nathan Redmond has absolutely no place in Ralph Hasenhüttl’s plans at Southampton.

He’s managed a paltry one minute of football since the start of the campaign, which came in the first game of the season as the Saints were beaten 4-1 by Tottenham.

He has since been left out of every squad by the Austrian manager, which means his future at Southampton is pretty much non-existent, with parties trying to solve this issue.

An answer to that appears to be around the corner, as Besiktas in Turkey are interested in signing the 28-year-old, who boasts one England cap, dating back to 2017 when he came on as a substitute in a 1-0 friendly loss against Germany.

In fact, it appears an exit could be around the corner, as Turkish journalist Gökmen Özcan took to Twitter to reveal that the Süper Lig side are ‘discussing the final details’ with Southampton ‘to finalise the transfer’ of the winger.

Judging by his choice of words and the fact Redmond’s contract at St Mary’s expires in 2023, this has all the looks of a full transfer, rather than a loan of any sort.

We’re sure more details will come in the coming hours, but it appears the former Birmingham starlet is on his way to Turkey.
