On Monday, news broke in Italy that Tiago Pinto was flying to England once again to hold talks with various clubs about their players.

One of his pit stops was with West Ham United, with the main topic of conversation being Gianluca Scamacca.

This comes courtesy of Corriere dello Sport, who look at what Pinto was doing in London, where he met the Hammers, Leicester and Leeds.

His ‘absolute priority’ at the moment is to find a centre-forward who will help out in Tammy Abraham’s absence, and ‘the favourite’ remains the West Ham forward.

Scamacca’s first season in England really didn’t go to plan, and a return to Italy could be great for all parties, just to get him going again.

However, West Ham aren’t interested in a loan deal, either wanting him sold for good or for him to stay and fight for his spot after spending €36m on him.

AS Roma, though, are ‘sure that West Ham’s refusal to grant a loan may become less rigid during the summer’.

The player has admitted a return to his home country would make him happy, but it doesn’t solely depend on him, and that’s why Pinto is ‘hoping to convince West Ham’ to let him go.
