The Seville media recently reported that Real Betis had resumed contact with Tottenham over potentially signing Vincent Janssen in the summer transfer window.

Out of the picture for the majority of the season, the Dutch striker has picked up some minutes towards the end of the campaign, but clearly isn’t in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans going forward.

Janssen is one of several options being considered by Betis, and whilst not everyone at the club feels the signing would be a great idea, the low cost means a ‘gamble’ is being considering.

Seville sport newspaper Estadio Deportivo reports that a transfer fee would be around €3m, representing a big loss for Tottenham on the player, and that Janssen would receive a three year contract.

Janssen only has a year left on his Spurs contract after the current season, so it’s decision making time at Tottenham. Whilst they’d certainly be looking for more than €3m, it’s better than losing him for nothing.
