Fotomac have reported Galatasaray’s recently installed CEO Cenk Ergun has been in France to hold transfer talks with the agent of Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri.
Fotomac claim Ergun’s attention has turned to Manchester City’s Nasri ahead of the summer transfer window. According to the Turkish newspaper, Ergun met with Nasri’s agent Alain Migliaccio about a potential move to Galatasaray this summer.
Galatasarray are ready to do everything they can to sign Nasri, and Ergun believes the Manchester City outcast would be willing to come to Galatasaray.
The Frenchman has been on a season long loan spell with Sevilla, but his form has dipped in recent months, mainly due to fitness, for which the Spanish club hold some responsibility. Nasri’s redemption fee is therefore unlikely to be met by Sevilla at the end of the season, but it was made clear in the Spanish media earlier in the season, when Nasri was one of La Liga’s best performers, that the clause wouldn’t be used anyway.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola doesn’t seem overly keen on Nasri, so Fotomac think these factors will be huge for Galatasaray to convince the Frenchman to move to Turkey.
