It’s probably a consensus that Elaquim Mangala’s time at Manchester City wasn’t great. Despite a reasonable number of starts for the club, the €30m signing didn’t impress enough and that’s why he ended up being loaned out to Valencia.
This week, local newspaper Super Deporte published a story explaining how hard Mangala is working at the club, even with the season coming to an end. The player has a tough routine of extra exercises and is proving himself to be a great professional.
Mangala tweeted the story, and the response was quite surprising, even for the local media. The same Super Deporte has covered this reaction, in Valencia fans the Manchester City owned player to stay at the club after the end of the season.
The newspaper mentions several tweets, where some of them even expecting Mangala to sign a long contract and become an idol at the club.
With all these requests, will Valencia use their buying option and sign the player for €20m this summer? If not, it seems Galatasaray are ready to try.
Super Deporte this week list the clause as being €20m, they’ve previously reported it as being €18m.
