This week’s report from Record saying Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Sporting manager Ruben Amorim is quickly getting some interesting developments.

First, we saw the English media agreeing that Spurs have the coach on a shortlist. And now it’s time for the Portuguese media to say the Lions are already making moves to prepare themselves.

SIC Notícias report that Sporting have a target to replace Amorim in case he goes to Tottenham.

That manager is said to be Bruno Lage, who’s been unemployed since his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers back in October.

It’s claimed by SIC that Sporting have already made an approach for him, making him the ‘main option’ to possibly replace their boss.

An official source from the Lions soon dismissed the news, but SIC stick to their information about this interest.

According to Record this week, Tottenham plan to meet Ruben Amorim after the end of the season. It had also been said that Sporting take the situation very calmly, as they know their manager has been standing out, so it makes sense that they already look for a potential replacement.
