This year, we’ve seen Palmeiras losing two midfielders to the Premier League, as Gustavo Scarpa and Danilo Oliveira both left the club to join Nottingham Forest.

And it turns out the Brazilian side may soon be seeing another player from that sector going to England as well.

According to journalist Diego Firmino, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Palmeiras midfielder Gabriel Menino.

It’s said Wolves made a ‘recent poll’ about the possibility of signing the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window.

For now, there’s no information on whether the Premier League side were happy with what they heard about the player’s situation at Palmeiras.

Gabriel Menino used to be a very promising player in his early days, and despite ups and downs in the past couple of years, he’s been showing signs of recovery lately.

The midfielder has a contract with Palmeiras which lasts until 2025, and he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €8m. Something around €15m should be enough for Wolves to get him signed this summer.

Since Firmino is an independent journalist covering Palmeiras, we should also wait for a better source to confirm the interest from the Molineux side.
