As the Spanish media continues to report Real Betis’ attempt to sign Pablo Fornals from West Ham United, it’s now Mundo Deportivo who feature a fresh update on the story.

The outlet highlights that the La Liga side already have an agreement with the player, and now try to find a deal with the Hammers.

Previous claims from the Spanish media today had said that Betis wanted a loan with an option to buy, and that didn’t sound like very attractive business for West Ham.

Now, Mundo Deportivo comes with different information, claiming the negotiation is for a loan with an obligatory purchase clause.

There’s no information on how much Betis would pay for that, although it’s said they’re waiting for the money from the sale of Luiz Henrique to use on the new signing. Previous stories from Spain said they wanted to pay less than €8m, so we’ll have to see whether West Ham would accept that.

Fornals originally had a contract with the Hammers until 2024, but the club reportedly used an option to extend it until 2025.
