On Monday, Marca stated Atlético Madrid’s Matheus Cunha is one step away from joining Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It was also reported Cunha’s club teammate, Felipe, is expected to follow him to the Premier League side in the winter market.

Felipe is the first name on the list and it’s said he is aiming to make a switch to England in January, where Wolves are named as his suitor.

Over at AS, they have a short report stating Julen Lopetegui’s side are ‘very interested’ in securing the 33-year-old’s services. The player would welcome a move away from Atlético since he has hardly featured for Los Rojiblancos this season.

It’s further claimed Cunha and Felipe are training with Diego Simeone’s side while waiting to resolve their futures.

This is likely to take shape in the coming days if El Partidazo de COPE is to be believed.

The information is provided by journalist Pedro Morata, who explains that Wolves are ‘going to sign’ the two Brazilians ‘this week’.

With Cunha and Felipe’s sales, Atlético will be able to offset loses for their failure to make it to the knockout stages of this season’s Champions League.
