Ronaldo Vieira’s potential Leeds United exit is big news in Italy, but there’s conflicting claims on the fee which could be arriving at Elland Road.

Sky Italian reported on Monday, via TMW, that Sampdoria and the Championship club have agreed a €7m fee for the player’s move this summer.

The transfer was said to be just a step away, and the medical tests expected to happen on Tuesday.

It’s never nice to see a talented youngster leave a club, but if Leeds, and specifically Marcelo Bielsa, don’t see a future for the 20 year old then getting €7m looks like good business.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has it differently.

He claims the fixed fee is just €5m and anything on top of that would be made up of bonuses. Pedulla makes things sound very close indeed, stating the transfer is ‘about to be defined’, the operation is ‘well underway’ and it’s in the ‘finishing straight’.

More details are likely to come out from the Italian media, with details clearly being pushed to various sources.

Sampdoria News also have the figure at €5m fixed fee with potential bonuses added on to that.
