Moving to Chelsea in the summer after a successful spell at Napoli, Maurizio Sarri has already won over the Stamford Bridge crowd, and all is going swimmingly.

A 100% record in the Premier League four games in certainly helps, but it’s the style of football that also has the fans on the edge of their seats, with quick, intricate passing now a key element of their attacking build-up.

How long Sarri remains in London will entirely depend on his results and keeping Roman Abramovich happy, but he’s already thinking about the future.

Rest assured, however, Chelsea fans, because this won’t happen anytime just yet.

Asked by Il Mattino if he’d like to return to Napoli one day, he said: “I hope so. It could be the objective to finish my career there, but first I want to stay at Chelsea, in this splendid club, for a long time. Everything is stupendous here, everything is going great. Managing this club is a dream”.

Even if it’s still very early days in his time at Stamford Bridge, these are exactly the words fans will want to be hearing.

After all, you don’t want him to be saying things like how terrible working and sleeping at Cobham is just a couple of months in, do you?
