Napoli absolutely will not sell Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer despite the likes of Chelsea being linked with a move for him.
That’s according to Area Napoli, who say that according to their information, Aurelio De Laurentiis has deemed the Georgian as ‘untransferable’.
Napoli are expecting a major overhaul of their squad this summer, with Victor Osimhen already announcing he’ll be joining a new club and Piotr Zielinski seemingly destined for champions Inter Milan.
Several rumours have claimed Kvaratskhelia could be joining the exodus, with some even claiming that he’s already been sold to England.
Area Napoli say that is definitely not the case, though, and the Italian club have no intention of selling the forward any time soon.
While there has been an expression of interest from some big clubs, including English sides, at the moment the Serie A side consider the player as ‘untransferable’.
Aurelio De Laurentiis plans to build a better team which can bounce back from this disappointing season and would be willing to reject offers for Kvaratskhelia as he has done with Napoli stars in the past.
Even an ‘almost indispensable proposal’ would not convince him into a sale as he wants to build his team around the player.
That will come as bad news to Chelsea, who have been consistently linked with a move in recent months as they plan for another big summer.
They’ve been keen for a while, but it seems De Laurentiis has no plans to sell to Chelsea or anyone else, regardless of the money they may offer.
