Chelsea are set to miss out on the signing of Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi, with Paris Saint Germain closing in on a deal.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the full-back is ‘destined’ to wear the PSG shirt this summer.

They report that the Parisian giants are set to make their ‘last definitive offer’ for the Inter Milan star, which, between a fixed price and easily attainable bonuses, will hit a price tag of €67-68m.

That is enough to tempt Inter Milan to sell and trump Chelsea to his signature, with the ‘white smoke’ for the transfer, according to what TMW has been told, expected at the weekend.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and director Piero Ausilio are ‘very confident’ that the transfer can happen by June 30th at the latest, with Hakimi looking destined for the French capital.

That is unless Chelsea come in and match what PSG are offering.

It isn’t suggested that might happen, but there is still time for everything to change if they want it to, perhaps with Marina Granovskaia upping the money side of things in their cash + Marcos Alonso deal.
