Chelsea have included Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni in their target list, according to a report from Italy.
The centre-back has been a regular for the past few seasons and has caught the attention of other clubs, including the Blues. That’s according to TV Play, who state the 24-year-old is ‘tempting’ the west London club.
Chelsea are aiming to reshape their defence and the focus seems to be on the Nerazzurri star.
It’s claimed Mauricio Pochettino’s side could send a ‘super offer’ of €60m to the Serie A side at the end of this season. This could make Inter waver since they have to improve their finances, by cashing in from one of their key players.
Bastoni’s performances for club and country have seen other top clubs, including Real Madrid, take notice. Despite this, Chelsea are ready to burn competition with an offer which will be ‘difficult for the Milan club to refuse’.
TV Play say Bastoni’s sale can allow Inter to retain other key players like Lautaro Martínez and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. There’s no mention if the Italian is willing to join Chelsea after this season.
