Chelsea still have Borussia Mönchengladbach striker ‘on the agenda’ after trying to sign him in the January transfer window.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who cover how the French forward has been offered to the Blues, Barcelona and several clubs ahead of the summer.

They explain that the 25-year-old is ‘one of the bargains’ of the next transfer market as his contract with the German side is coming to an end and he will be leaving on a free.

As a result of that his agents are ‘looking for a more powerful project’ and they have set their sights on Barcelona.

The striker ‘was offered’ to the Catalan giants, who had already been following him closely given he is a ‘versatile, expert’ player who can arrive on a free.

They are not the only side to have ‘been offered’ him or who are ‘attentive’ to his future, though, as Chelsea are also in the mix.

They have him ‘on their agenda’ and wanted to get a deal done in the January transfer window, something which Thuram ended up knocking back as he wanted to remain in the Bundesliga until the end of the season.

They face competition from the likes of PSG and Atlético de Madrid, who are both considering making moves and would be happy to add him to their squads.

Thuram’s preferred move would be to the Nou Camp as he eyes up ‘another step’ in his career and his father, Lillian Thuram, player for the club between 2006 and 2008.

Barcelona are equally keen because of his status as a free agent, something they value very highly given their financial problems and salary limits. They’ve followed him directly to see if he can fit and have concluded he would be a valuable asset to sign.

They are not the only club in the picture, though, and Chelsea are also keen as they look to continue stockpiling players for Graham Potter.
