Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech is Ajax’s ‘dream candidate’ to solve their ‘headache’ on the right-wing as they look for a replacement for Antony.

That’s according to Voetbal International journalist Freek Jansen, who believes the Dutch side should be doing everything to bring their former star back.

Antony joined Manchester United in a bigmoney move in the summer transfer window and Ajax have had problems with the right-wing position since.

They are yet to find someone who can adequately replace the Brazilian but may look to fix that problem in this window as they reshape their squad.

Ziyech has been linked with a return for some time, having failed to impress at Stamford Bridge since moving from Ajax in 2020.

Indeed, Chelsea recently offered him as part of a potential deal with Benfica for Enzo Fernandez.

That shows they are keen to move the Morocco star on and Jansen believes Ajax should be getting in contact with Chelsea to try and get their ‘dream candidate’.

“After the departure of Antony last summer, the outside right position is a headache at Ajax,” he told Voetbal International, relayed by MSN.

“(Dusan Tadić and Steven Bergwijn) feel visibly better on the left flank. Portuguese talent Francisco Conceição still needs time, so a right-winger who can be there immediately is desirable.

“One player is easily the dream candidate: Hakim Ziyech.”
