Chelsea and Villarreal have reportedly found the agreement for the transfer of Nicolas Jackson.

According to Cadena SER show Carrusel Deportivo, the striker’s move to the Stamford Bridge will be done for around €35m.

The report claims that the player is now set to fly to London and have his medical at the weekend.

Previous stories from the Spanish media had been claiming that even though it was known Chelsea would pay something close to the release clause, Villarreal were still negotiating for that payment to be made in full and at once.

It turns out the La Liga side apparently didn’t succeed with that, because Cadena Ser’s report says the Blues will be paying for the transfer in instalments.

The past claims had said that if this was the scenario, then Villarreal would try to get a percentage on a future move, but Cadena Ser don’t say anything on that for now.

Featuring for the Spanish club last season, Jackson had 13 goals and five assists in 38 appearances. There hadn’t been strong links with Chelsea until the Blues pushed hard for the signing this week.
