Chelsea have been repeatedly credited with interest in Denis Suarez by the Spanish over the past week or so.

The idea is that Maurizio Sarri was keen on the Barcelona player whilst he was manager of Napoli, and has taken that interest to his new club in London.

Initially the reports tended to state Barcelona have no interest in selling the player, and that he’s content to continue as a bit part player, at least for now.

But that’s all changed with Suarez’s post-match comments this week, about needing more minutes and putting doubt on his future, causing a stir.

The 24 year old, who turns 25 in January, is no longer willing to keep his mouth shut and accept life on the bench.

Marca report this in their Friday edition, and have a separate snippet about Chelsea.

It’s explained the Premier League club have the ‘economic capacity’ to please both Barcelona and Suarez on a transfer, and that a move is possible.

Barca will ‘facilitate’ the player’s exit in January as long as a club meets their conditions.
